This article caught my eye. I thought this person had some good words spoken by saying that a 'formula' prayer does not lead to salvation. Other things
quoted I think are wrong, but I would like to see if people are seeing the same thing I am here. What I am seeing is people are not willing to give credit to
where credit is due. It seems to me like people are judgeing the 'religion' by their so called 'religion' or denomination and not even
interested to hear if there is truth. I get this impression by looking at the polling questions at the end of this article. There is not even one question
asking if anyone thinks this statement was right on. Its all mockery type questions....as if thats love. The majority responded saying that they think its was
a heritic...42%. I would love to hear some thoughts here. The one issue I am refering to is the salvation prayer.

The presiding bishop said that view is "caricatured in some quarters by insisting that salvation depends on reciting a specific verbal formula about Jesus."
According to Schori, it is heresy to believe that an individual's prayer can achieve a saving relationship with God. "That individualist focus is
a form of idolatry, for it puts me and my words in the place that only God can occupy."
