Yesterday a serious thought hit me about the revelation of the "days of Noah" as Jesus spoke about.
When we look at the life of Noah, we understood how he was warned by God and built an ark for 120 years to prepare for the judgement to come. I mean think about this one.... how many others professing to know God hung around Noah for a time? Was Noah trully the only believer??? I mean when God spoke to Noah, he didnt even have a wife yet or even children. Would God guide him to an ungodly women??? I dont think He did. But with this being said, I believe there were others on earth in those days who professed to believe in the God that Noah believed in. So here is a serious question the church should be asking themselves "why was Noah the only one found worthy to escape the judgement to come"? Granted his family went with him also, but the original annalysis is that God was only warning Noah at that time. But was Noah trully the only one being warned or were there others who were also warned who did not respond out of faith? See as of lately God has me thinking about the judgement to come and yes He is sounding the alarm just as in the days of Noah. But how many professing believers are going to be counted worthy just as Noah was? When Jesus said "as in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be", I think we need to think very hard on these examples that could come out of this. The more time goes on the more revelation that comes out of this. In the old testament Noah was a representation of the true church. But as we see today there are way more people professing Christ and not totally following Him as Noah did. Noah knew it was going to be a costly route to follow Christ and he got punished by society for 120 years because of it. I think God was just using Noah to test the world to see who would move with Godly fear and faith. I honestly believe that God would have invited more to come into the boat if they would have abided in faith. God was looking for faith in action.
Hebrews 11:7
"By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with Godly fear, prepaired an ark for the saving of his household, by wich he condemned the world and became the heir of the righteousness wich is according to faith."
When we read this verse, Noah was warned of things to come and prepared himself. Noah dwelled in faith about what God either spoke to him or showed him through dreams and visions. But either way its about faith that leads to action. See James says that faith without works is dead. How many people around Noah actually had faith in God? I would say there were quite a few. But here is the other question...how many had enough faith to motivate themselves to action? I would have to say none because only Noah's family was on the boat. So today when we look at the state of the church we have to wonder if David Wilkerson is just one of these Noah's that God has alowed to spread the message of warning to see the response of the church before the throne room of God. The thing is many many people have recieved warnings from God that judgement is coming and many have already see this ahead of time including some of us on this web site, but how much of the church is going to listen and hear the words of warning from our Lord to prepair? God is looking for faith. Faith that leads to action. See we know we need to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and also prepare ourselves spiritually and physically and God will provide for those who dilligently seek Him. When we dwell in faith and do what we can, God steps in and takes the little bit that we might have and makes it into an abundance. Jesus shows us this by multiplying the fish and the loaves of bread. They offered what little they had out of faith and Jesus multiplied it. How do we know there was faith there involved in this situation by the apostles? They actually brought what they had to Jesus even though they did know it would be no where enough to feed the 5000. Jesus told them to fead the people. The apostles had no idea how to, so by faith they brought what they had to the King. We as the true church know judgement is coming. We just dont know when. But how many are responding like Noah did in action? Noah by faith prepared a place for protection and provision for his family. See faith is the first step. God guides you the rest of the way. But here is the other part of the deal....when we look at the parable of the virgins in Matthew chapter 25, we see that there were 10 virgins and 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. I dont think it was quite obvious to the eyes who was wise and who was foolish until the time came for there provisions they packed to come into use. I know that the oil is representing of the Holy Spirit that these virgins brought with them, and that should be first and foremost in our lives. But here is another aspect here, oil is also a thing of the flesh that we use to cook with. Its provision. I am not saying for people to flip out and go crazzy preparing for whats to come. I am just saying to listen to the voice of God and see what He is telling you to do. Thursday night He told me to prepare myself to be ready to be shut behind the door. This is also a reference to my family as I am responsable for them. I have to wonder exactly what God was trying to say. I know he wants me to be prepaired physically and to prepare for my family and such, but there is also the spiritual aspect as I have been put in charge over this in my household. But I know when He told me to be prepared to be ready to be shut behind the door, I immediately thought about how Noah was closed in the ark by God. Also in Matthew 25 with the virgins the master came and invited those who were ready to come through the door and it was closed behind them. There is always provision and protection when we obey. See with Noah and the 10 virgins we see the preperation physically and spiritually with both examples. How much of the church is going to fall away in these coming days because of ignoring the warnings being spoken of in abundance right now? They will be trying to run to the wise virgins and many of the wise virgins will be unable to give to them spiritually or physically. Why? I dont know but this is what God has impressed upon me, to prepare to be behind the door. Am I to sit back during the time of destruction and just see the power of protection and provision of the Lord??? I think so at this point. Will there be opportunity to witness? I surely hope so. But there are times where we are to just sit back and be still and see the presence of the Lord in the middle of the storms. Other storms we were designed to walk on like Peter did. I dont know the plans that God has for the church when it comes to the events to come. Whatever happens it will be for His glory. The one thing I dont want to be is exposed as naked before my Lord. I do not want to be the population who admits to Christ but then does not respond with complete faith in what He has told me to do like the people were in the days of Noah. Noah was the church of Philidelphia. All the people that walked away were other churches or not a church at all. Right now I know God is calling everyone in the church to Him in a plan of provision or protection as God never acts without warning His people. What we need to do is listen to what He is saying to us and then obey with faith in what He has spoken.
Tommorow is Easter. Wednesday night into Thursday night was passover. You know there is something to be said about this. See the Israelites had to prepare for the death angel to 'pass over' them and allow the destruction to go elsewhere. When we look at the warnings coming, how many of us have prepaired for the 'death angel' to pass over us? When the death angel passes over us its because we have found new life in the resurection of Christ. I know there are very many things that can be said about passover and easter. but this year God has really had me pinned to passover and the significance of it in the flesh. We need to consider what God may be trying to say to the church with this warning we have recieved from David Wilkerson to allow the death angel to pass over us and for us to remain in Christs provision in obedience.
