Hello everyone, it's " The Bug Man preacher" I have sat down once again to write a message, I pray it blesses you and causes you to think also, may Jesus touch your heart today.
Scripture: (Matt 26: 14-16) " Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the Chief Priest, 15. And said unto them, What will you give me, and I will deliver Him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. 16. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray Him.
Wow, can you imagine selling out and betraying Christ for thirty pieces of silver? We look at the scriptures and we think How could he? But let me tell you something, these days many are betraying Christ for less than that! If we really think about things, Satan has offered all of us something to sell out to his way. We can deny Christ by our works the Bibles says in:
(Titus 1:16) " They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Judas had a vision of who he thought Christ should be, instead of accepting Christ for who He was, is, and always will be. He envisioned the Christ as a mighty conqueror who would restore the Jews to power over their oppressors "the Romans." However, Christ came the first time to be the meek and lowly lamb of God as was told by the Prophet Isaiah in
Isa 53: 1-12). If he would have read the scriptures about the Messiah instead of listening to man's theology about the Messiah, he would have seen the fulfillment of the prophecy in Jesus.
We have the same commission these days, to read and search for ourselves through the scriptures to see if what is said is true. Man has tainted most of the Church world today the same way, accept this time in many ways it's the opposite altogether. Some act like and have been taught, that Jesus will return this time as the meek and lowly lamb of God, ( peaceful). I hate to burst your bubble, but Christ is now coming back as "The Lord of Lords and King of Kings," also a conquering King with fire in His eyes and the sword in His mouth (The Word of God) which will devour His enemies! Grace and Mercy will have run out, along with time and repentance! Today is the day for salvation, for no man is promised tomorrow!
Judas also had something he desired, Wealth and Power, you see in this new kingdom he thought Christ would set up at the time, he thought that he would set on one of the thrones exercising dominion & authority over the people, even though Jesus told them it would not be so with them in:
(Matt 20:25) " But Jesus called them unto Him, and said, you know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they who are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your servant.
Well, this didn't set well with Judas and his theology at the time. Just as today, many leaders think themselves to have the rule over others and expect others to submit to them, and obey their authority. Well, Jesus said the very opposite in this scripture, so instead of certain leaders submitting to Jesus Christ, and His scriptural exhortation in (Matt 20:25), they do as Judas and sell Him out for their own agenda's, to gain Wealth & Power over people! Why would Jesus say such a thing? Because He is the true Authority! We are to submit to, and abide by His Word not our own, or some denominational made up theology !
Many of us have other sins we give into and end up serving, in stead of giving in to Jesus and serving Him! ( John 8:34) " Jesus answered them, Verily, Verily, I say unto you, Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin."
So we all must ask ourselves, are we selling Christ out, and if so, for how much?
When our desires for the things of the world out weigh our desire for Jesus, we will betray Him just as Judas; we must weigh ourselves long and hard before we condemn Judas, because their just might be a little Judas in all of us!
We must open our hearts and ask Jesus to show us what is not pleasing to Him inside each of us, and ask Him to take it out no matter what the cost, so we can serve Him with a pure heart and motive.
Have you taken the thirty pieces of silver already? It's not too late for you if you have, just repent and come home today, Jesus loves you and will forgive you, He loved Judas and would have forgiven Judas, just as He forgave Peter, only if Judas would have repented and asked for forgiveness.
O' leader, whoever you might be, Christ asked you to humble yourself, and become a servant, instead of a task master over the people. Want you repent today take the bondage off the peoples back and come home to Jesus!
What is your price?
We must surrender all !
Jesus is worth it all !
May Jesus keep us all strong through His Holyspirit each and everyday in this troubled world we live in. Amen. Darell "The Bug Man Preacher"
