Our children go to school to learn how to make a living, but school does not teach our children how to live. That is up to both us as parents & the church. The church should be teaching God's Word & God's way to all. But there are many details such as proper behaviors, love & discipline that can only come from the home. The bible says in Proverbs to..."Train up a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it." Always keep in mind that a law is an absolute, whereas a proverb is more of a guideline. Through prayer, the Holy Spirit will guide us how to handle problems...what to say...what to do...which direction to take, as well as help us to make the right decisions.
It's been awhile. I am involved in three ministries, but felt should do some postings here. With all the cell phones, computers, games, TV, and (who knows what) people are involved in these days.....thought it might be good to share this short video on the importance of shutting all that stuff off, long enough for the family to come together on a certain day, at a set time, to meet the needs of every member of the household!
I could go on and on, but we must realize that this is only temporary, and someday all of these things & this stuff is going to go "POOF". Only what we do for the "LORD" is all that we will take with us! Just food for thought. I will post some things shortly on the days we are living in now, perhaps a recent testimony, and some important word on "2017". Meantime please listen to this brief talk on how our children or grandchildren's behavior can reflect on us. Thanks to all who reads & listens.
Here is the message...God bless you:
