Something has bothered me recently. I hear some preachers give some awesome eloquent sermons.....and then they turn right around and start bashing other preachers. Is it to lift themselves up? I don't know! Is it the Holy Spirit? NO! It is their own spirit. You know, I have caught myself lately when feeling like saying some stuff to certain people around me. But I held my tongue and allowed God to bridle my tongue...as it tells us in the book of James. Those things were usually judgmental and not love at all. It was when I was fired up by the Holy Spirit.....but yet my own spirit was still there. When we speak by our own spirit....or possibly under the influence of other spirits, it is not pleasing to our Lord I can assure you. In fact we are going against what our Lord told us to do in the New Covenant (and that includes any ordained minister). I was so glad that I held my tongue and let love move in afterward. WOW! Hope I didn't lose you there...and you get this truth I am trying to express.
Anyway this guy...I have never heard him do that....so would like to share this brief sermonette that I think touches on some important stuff we may encounter concerning law & grace (OT & NT). Please watch and God be with you:
