Hey Nathan, I appreciate your thoughts, and from the angle you're approaching this, have a good point.

But what I think the author is on the offensive about, is keeping the focus of preaching always on the gospel of Christ, and the teaching of righteousness, self control, and the judgment to come. He's saying that people are losing focus of the message. I think he's right. If people are going to be filled with the Spirit, and have a reputation for supernatural occurrences taking place at their gatherings, at some point Biblical truth needs to be hammered home.

I haven't been there for these events, and I can only go on what the author in the newsletter is sharing here.

Sure, there are definitely times of the true filling of the Holy Spirit. Like you point out from your own experience, and from Pentesoct, it's powerful, and people who are watching can't understand what's happening... At Pentecost, the early Christians spoke in tongues, and those watching wondered... are they drunk? What's wrong with them??

But if there are any movements of the Spirit appearing to take place at any gatherings of believers, I think we all should look to hear Biblical Truth. This is what I get from the author's message. God bless,
