Ive just found mself having to examine some more words here in this article.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I look at the state of our nation today, and consider our
spiritual challenges, it's obvious the last thing we need are Christians
who are so sloshed in emotional euphoria that they can't pray
intelligently and work diligently.

When we look at the major reference of this article its about the abuse that goes on and I agree. However when reading this statement here, there is a concern going on. Much of this article is about 'being drunk' in the Spirit.

We need to think about something here. When we see a man who is drunk, are his actions only because of 'emotionalism'? Is it true that being drunk does bring an 'emotional euphoria' to some? Sure as we can clearly see this. Now its also true that many drunks do not remember all of what went on while they were intoxicated. Is it true that some even pass out when their bodies consume in great amounts of alcholhol? Sure and its dangerous.

Now a question.

On the day of Pentacost, did the apostles respond out of emotionalism? Sure they did. The joy was too much. They appeared drunk. Who knows it could of seriously been like a Holy Ghost party that wasnt planned. How many of the people that were there that day probably got a really serious dose of the Holy Spirit and passed out like an over intoxicated man? Who knows but it happens quite often now. Ive seen demons cast out of people who had been overfilled on the presence of the Holy Spirit. It happenned in front of my face as I was the one who cast the demon out of this man who was down on the floor. 3 days later I asked him about it. He didnt even know it had happenned to him. Is there any doubt as to why the apostles were accused of being drunk? Its cause it completely looked like it!

Is it no wonder how people came and accused them of being drunk? Theres many simptoms here that are the same and those who used to drink who are now born again will tell you that it trully does resemble being drunk. What can we say here? We may not like these kinds of realities, but satan always tries to poison the truth. I personally believe that satan was responsible for the making of alcohol. Why? For the purpose of imitating the presence of the Holy Spirit. satan always tries rto immitate but never quite able to duplicate. Being drunk with alcohol is for death but being drunk with the Spirit is for life.

There are some good points to this article and it could have been summed up into a sentance. "stay away from the abuses of God and control the flesh". Its that simple. The more I read though the more catches my eyes here for double speek in discuise.

I wonder if we should also make a posting that instead of saying its time to get sober, "its time to get real" and really start giving lessons to believers what the presence of our Lord trully does to our stinking flesh. There is so much fear in the body about what is and what is not of the Holy Spirit that many just simply turn in fear and run even when its a move of God. If we were to simply tell them the believers were drunk, how many would stay at that meating? Probably none. However with the symptoms being very similar, its time that christians start going to see the master physician and getting a real dose of the Holy Spirit and stop cowering to the presence of God! In the day and age we are in, do we think we can handle this world without it?
